COVID-19 SAFETY ACKNOWLEDGMENT

As we prepare for the 35th Lithuanian Fair, we want you to know we are continuing to work to follow all required COVID-19 health and safety guidelines in place at the time of the event to offer a safe festival experience.

Everyone in Attendance Contributes to a Safe Event

We recommend that everyone who attends the festival be fully vaccinated prior to the event. In addition, we’re taking the following steps to ensure everyone’s health and well-being during the weekend:

   ·  The Lithuanian Fair will be held outdoors.

   ·  The seats in front of the stage will have greater distancing between them as well as the tables under the tents.

Based on the current guidelines of the Los Angeles County and the State of California, masks are not required outdoors.

If the guidelines for mask wearing change, we’ll inform you as soon as we know.

We strongly encourage mask-wearing for all individuals in the following scenarios:

   ·  If you are not fully vaccinated

   ·  Waiting in line at the gate entrances

   ·  In line at a food vendor, bar, or other vendor areas

   ·  In restrooms

   ·  Other scenarios where you’d be unable to maintain a distance of 6 feet from anyone  outside your household.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present. By attending the 35th Lithuanian Fair, you expressly agree to comply with any and all rules and safety guidelines put in place by the event organizers and voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19, waiving all claims and potential claims against the event organizers, vendors and the parish relating to such risks.

Please be respectful to fellow attendees, staff, volunteers, vendors, and artists who choose to wear a mask and/or maintain physical distancing from others. This will be the first time that some of you attend a large event since early 2020, which is why we set safety protocols above and beyond what the Los Angeles County and the State of California requires.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience!

We’ll continue to update you of any changes as we get closer to the event.

HISTORY:  The Los Angeles Lithuanian American Community, spearheaded by then president Edmundas Kulikauskas, debuted the Lithuanian Fair in 1986 to celebrate Lithuanian pride, heritage and culture. This annual celebration is held in Los Angeles, California on the first weekend of October at the St. Casimir Lithuanian Catholic Church in the Silverlake area.

Lithuanian culture, art, entertainment, refreshments and history are on display. Each year, new Lithuanian artisans of various media are featured, including: folk arts, weavings, oils, woods, ceramics and sculptures. Lithuanian amber jewelry, fashions, books, music, stamps, coins, medals and souvenirs are available.

Traditional Lithuanian foods, spirits and drinks are available throughout the fair. Enjoy ample servings of "kugelis", a comfort food favored by many, Or taste the sweet flavors of "krupnikas", a honey-based liqueur. One can dine with friends at the fair or purchase food "to go";

Entertainment runs all day with an array of musical, singing and dancing talent from around the world. Over the years, singers and dancers of all ages from Lithuania, Germany, Canada, as well as Chicago and Cleveland and other U.S. cities have graced the festival stage to share their ethnic pride and talents. Lithuanians worldwide have attended the fair and it has become the largest festival of Lithuanian culture outside of Lithuania.

Help wanted - The Lithuanian Days Fair organizing committee is seeking volunteers to help with the event. We need help to set up Friday October 4th as well as assistance during the event. Please go to volunteers to sign up. You may also contact us at LTDienos2021@gmail.com to sign up or get more information.
We thank you in advance!
