The “Žemynos” zither group came together in the spring of 2020. The ensemble plays the works of zither player Žemyna Trinkūnaitė for traditional zither in her unique playing style.

 

The group appears at various events and festivals in Lithuania: Kristupas Festival in Vilnius, Mėnuo juodaragis, Dubingiai Music Festival, Medkopis End Festival, Old Zither Festival at Babtynas Manor, competition-festival "Tai Kazlų žali sodai", etc.

 

In 2024, the group released its album "Saulės dovanos" (eng. Gifts of the Sun), which includes the most popular pieces for listeners. As soon as the album was released, Domantas Razauskas noticed and presented it on Lithuanian Radio. He called the album one of the best Lithuanian music albums of the year.

 

The album received another very high praise from Maestro Giedrius Kuprevičius, who, after listening to it, wrote: "Wonderfully impressive. BRAVO!"
