Los Angeles Lithuanian Community Choir

The Los Angeles Lithuanian Community Choir is a new ensemble that began its musical journey in September 2024. The idea to revive a Lithuanian choir was sparked by Giedrė Garbisch and Toma Žemaitaitis, who envisioned uniting community members to represent Los Angeles at the 11th Lithuanian Song Festival in North America. They were soon joined by Nicholas Galinaitis, who became the choir director and is known for his exceptional talent as a music director and concert pianist.

Today, the choir includes around 30 members, ranging in age from students to seniors. The age diversity creates a unique musical blend of voices and generational perspectives. Participation in the Lithuanian Days is a significant milestone in the choir’s growth and supports the preservation and promotion of Lithuanian choral traditions in Los Angeles and beyond.

We invite everyone who loves choral music to join us!
