Erikas Petraitis was born and raised in Los Angeles. He attended John Marshall High School (just across the street from the St. Casimir parish) and went on to graduate from UC Berkeley. From a young age, he was active in the Lithuanian community — attending St. Casimir’s Saturday School, dancing with LB “Spindulys,” and participating in scouts and Ateitininkai. In high school, Erikas discovered his passion for music: he learned to play the guitar and began writing his own songs. His musical influences include American Folk, R&B, Country, and Blues.
Erikas has released two albums of original songs. He also values his Lithuanian heritage and enjoys performing in Lithuanian. This year, he will be joined by a talented group of musicians: Paul Marshall, Shawn Nourse, Dan Wistrom, and Carl Byron.
