About: Vilnius Academy of Arts (VDA), established in 1793, is the oldest state arts university in the Baltic countries. Join us to discover VDA’s study opportunities, faculties, creative environment and student work.
During the session, we will introduce Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral studies in art, design, restoration, architecture, and art history and theory, as well as the opportunities available to students, the Academy’s activities and international projects. About: This is a presentation of the author's book "STATERA," unique in that it connects literature with scientific psychology. It will explore how people lose their individual moral compass when shifting into an "agentic state," and how these psychological vulnerabilities are exploited both in dystopian literature and in real power structures.
The presentation will be held using slides, with discussion among the audience.

About: How does a symbol become history, and history become a visual story? Designer and illustrator Tautvydas Kaltenis will introduce several of his creative projects and invite the audience to look at symbols not simply as elements of graphic design, but as carriers of cultural memory.
Using The Monarchs of Lithuania as a case study, the presentation will explore how historical symbols, heraldry, color, characters, and legends can be brought together into a coherent contemporary visual narrative.
The talk will be accompanied by rich visual material, tracing the creative process from early sketches and symbols to illustrations and finished design objects.

About: "Lithuanian Culture Hackathon: What Lies Beneath the Layers of Culture?” is a creative and interactive activity inviting participants to explore Lithuanian culture as a combination of different historical periods, traditions, symbols, and human experiences.
During the hackathon, participants will discover and examine various phenomena, objects, and symbols related to Lithuanian cultural history and, through interactive activities, explore the significance of culture and heritage in contemporary society

About: The lecture will explore how multilingualism affects the human mind and whether different languages shape different perceptions of the world. It will draw on psychological research (such as the Winawer experiment) and discuss the cognitive effects of multilingualism on decision-making. It will also reveal how propaganda can manipulate language categories and grammar to shift the way a society thinks.
The activity will take place as an interactive lecture, accompanied by a visual slide presentation.

About: Poems are special because each of us reads them a little differently. Even the same person can recite the same poem in a different way from one day to the next. Want to hear how the author herself reads them? During this session with Evelina Daciūtė, participants will draw a poem by lot, and its creator will read it to them.
