"Bavarija"

Music group

Lithuania

Bavarija is a well-known Lithuanian pop music group that originated in Klaipda in 1996. They won "Best Group of the Year" at the Bravo Music Awards in 2002 and 2003. Their album Angels achieved triple platinum status, and their following album, Very Very, went platinum on its first day of sales. In 2004, Bavarija was honored with the title of "Best Lithuanian Top 20 Group" at the Radiocentras Music Awards.

By 2006, the group's active presence began to wane. Deivydas Zvonkus, the principal songwriter, continued his career as a producer and composer, while Juozas Liesis, the lead lyricist, transitioned into journalism, and Vilius Tarasovas pursued a solo singing career. By late 2014, Bavarija made a notable return, delivering a memorable performance at the M.A.M.A. Music Awards ceremony in January of the following year. By the end of 2023, the group renewed their concert activities, captivating audiences across the country’s largest arenas.
