Rimas Kasputis came all the way from Canton, Michigan. He will be performing well known Lithuanian folk songs joined by local Lithuanian talent featuring accordionists and singers.
Rimas began his musical journey at age 8 taking accordion lessons and 2 years later won 1st place at a local talent show. One of his recent projects was in 2012 appearing in Universal Studios movie “The Five Year Engagement” as the accordion player at the rehearsal dinner.
Throughout the years, Rimas accompanied many Lithuanian folk dance groups and played at various Lithuanian youth camps throughout the U.S. RImas had the opportunity to conduct at the 8th, 9th and 10th Lithuanian Song Festivals and 1 Folk Dance festival. In 1970 he started the dance band “Romantika”, also known as RISE for American clientele. In 1982 he released an LP “TarpTostu ir Dainu” featuring two original compositions.
Even though Rimas is well known for his accordionist skills he is also an accomplished trumpet player and jazz pianist. He has performed with many local concert and jazz bands. He continues his musical career to this day at many events. For more information visit
